With the 47.360 series of COB connectors, BJB achieves new dimensions in quality and design. From the housing material to the pre-assembly fixing mechanism, a wide range of criteria were considered during development. The result is a product range which meets or exceeds the requirements of the user to a greater extent than ever before. The aim was to guarantee long-term benefits: these products succeed in doing so in every way.
The development of this series involved extensive research work and rigorous testing, utilizing BJB’s decades of experience in the field of plastics processing and module assembly with various materials. The objective is to provide a safe and durable connection of insulating and conductive components, like that required for classic lampholders. Overall, there are significant improvements in four important areas: the housing material, the contacting system, the COB pre-assembly fixing mechanism and the design.
In particular, the flexible handling of these COB connectors also facilitates automated assembly processes. This is due to the well-thought-out geometry with wire entry on one or both sides, embedded contacts with silver-plated contact points and a pre-assembly fixing spring which makes adhesive pads for holding the COB’s superfluous. Finally, with the extensive range of reflector and optics accessories available, luminaire manufacturers can assemble finished modules for spot and downlights very quickly and easily.
