This model is equipped with new sensors that more closely match the CIE 1931 color-matching functions which correspond to the sensitivity of the human eye, and thus can provide measurement results that closely correlate with visual evaluation results.

The brightness and color of light greatly affect our impressions of the displays of smartphones or tablet computers, movie theater screens, etc., and the CS-160 allows users to better control light quality.

The CS-160, which has a smaller measuring angle of 1/3°, enables measurements of the luminance and chromaticity of small light-emitting surfaces, such as microdisplays or of small, sharply defined areas of distant light sources such as traffic or street lights. Its increased measurement range up to 9,999,000 cd/m2 yields more accurate results.
