Pro9™ COB LEDs with Below BBL Bins for Precise Color
Cree LED’s Pro9™ COB LEDs are now offered in Below BBL bins, where the color point is positioned just below the Black Body Locus on the CIE diagram.
This intentional spectral shift adds a slight magenta tint that reduces green tones, especially when the LED is operated at lower temperatures. Pro9™ COB Below BBL LEDs are ideal for high-CRI, color-critical applications like retail, hospitality and medical lighting. Both Standard On BBL and new Below BBL color Pro9 COB LEDs deliver the industry's highest level of reliability for KSF-based COB LEDs for long-lasting performance, top-tier efficacy and vibrant, true-to-life color rendering.

Pro9 COB LEDs are now offered in two color point options: Standard (on BBL) and Below BBL, available in 4000K to 2700K CCTs. These options help lighting manufacturers maintain optimal color appearance across varying LED operating conditions.
- Standard (on BBL): Provides a balanced white point at higher operating temperatures. At lower temperatures, the light may appear slightly green.
- Below BBL: Maintains a balanced white point at lower operating temperatures. At higher temperatures, the light may appear slightly pink.
